Verse to Ponder

Posts: 1303 11/23/08 2:39	Tags : None "O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth." Isaiah 25:1 (KJV) Here's the verse to ponder for today... But for today, I would like everyone to look back and reflect on at least one great thing the Lord has done for you. Kind of like a praise report of sorts. Whenever I get doubt of God's existence, I just say "Shut up Satan, I remember what the Lord has done for me and that was real." Posts: 531 11/23/08 4:58	Since my mom and I talked about this today, I want to share a memory of what God did for me with y'all. The year was 1992, and my brother Jeff was in the hospital, just having been diagnosed with cancer. I lived a good distance from the hospital, and I was still unable to work due to having been in a car accident where I broke my back and pelvis. I had no money for ANYTHING, let alone gasoline to get to and from the hospital. On the Monday Jeff was admitted to the hospital, I had 1/4 a tank of gas, and God made that 1/4 tank of gas (about 4 gallons) last for 2 weeks, and over 300 miles of driving from my apartment to my mom's house to pick her up and take her to the hospital which was downtown. At the end of the two weeks, mom's retirement check came in, and she was able to give me money to put gas in the tank. I ran out of gas while pulling into the gas station. I don't doubt that God does all kinds of miracles, when we put our trust in Him.

Posts: 1303 11/24/08 4:37	That is an awesome story, makes me think of the fish and loaves that Jesus made go A LOT further and feed the multitudes. That's like a modern day example of it, it's pretty cool! One thing that I always recall when I reflect on what the Lord has done for me is this: A short time after I accepted Christ and was still living with my parents, I was having a new problem a stomach problem. Like an ulcer, after every meal (No matter what it was,) I would get these horrible pains in my stomach. I never once prayed about it, that was until I couldn't take it anymore. It got so bad one night that I just cried out "Lord help me!" And that instant, that moment the pain was gone and never since returned.
