People say the world will end in 2012 because the Mayan Calender ends. I call shenanigans because technically it doesn't even end. It just restarts the
count (in the mayan long count 13.0.0.0.0)

Yeah, it's nonsense and totally unbiblical as the Bible states that no man knows the day or the hour of the return of Christ. There is always speculation
on when the world will end. Not sure if you remember, but in 1999 they were saying the world would end on new years day when year 2000 came. About 9 years
later we are still here.

The "age" or "time of the gentiles" will change that's for certain but we do not know the exact time of this.
The only certainty we can have about this is that we can know the generation that sees fulfillment. Here we see Christ speaking in the prophetic. Mark 13:30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. "This generation" was in referance to the future not that particular peoples He spoke it to. Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

`I think it is exciting that we know for certain that this day is coming. The older I get the worse the world is just when you think it can't get any worse
it does. It is exciting that in our life time we have witness several of the prophesies come to past. I am not looking for the anti-Christ for the only one I
am looking for is Jesus and that will be when at the sound of a trump we are to be caught up in the clouds to meet with our Lord Jesus. So it could be a
possibility that we are living in the last days.To me it is all the more urgent for us to be ready at all times for we know not the day or hour the Lord will
come. I know I do not want to be caught off guard (being caught up with the cares of the world instead of concerning myself with the things of the spirit).

when people start prophceying dates then i just ignore them for GOD says no man knows the day nor the hour when JESUS will come again.

The world CANNOT end that soon. We haven't even gotten to the Tribulation yet (7 years of God's wrath), and then there is the Millenium (1000 years of
Jesus ruling the earth). At that rate, the world can't end any sooner than 3015. But you know what? Jesus could come back today! Are you ready?

Very good point Lori! Yes I do agree there is still unfulfilled events that are prophecy that has not yet come to pass. The word says no man knows the day or
hour that Jesus will come either. I too, Bold22, do not pay attention to man's attempt to guess on when the last day will be because this is God's
business. Otherwise He would of given us an exact date in which to be watching for His arrival. So Gilbert your right it's all a "shenanigans".

you know i remember when one man wrote that the end would come on april the first 1988.. well it didnt i rmemeber the scare that every one had in 2000 that all
the computers and differt things would shut down well they didnt, and now they are saying 2012. well we just have to wait on that. at any rate im ready for
JESUS to come any time but i dont find any where it the bible it give an sexact date for HIS COMING AGAIN

Besides, Biblically it can't. If the Lord came right now to rapture His church, the world would still have 7 years left. That would bring us to 2014.

We are able to read the "signs of the times" as Jesus described in quite a bit of detail in Matthew 24 and Mark 13 and are discussed in other places as well. We are close to Jesus' return for His church, and for the coming of the tribulation period. But there is one other thing...Jesus will physically reign of this earth for 1000 years, so I can say with absolute certainty that there is NOTHING to be concerned with about 2012. Jesus will return when He returns, and NO ONE KNOWS THE DAY. We need to be ready to go every moment of every day. Because even if He doesn't come back tomorrow, we could die and be in His presence anyway. None of us is promised TODAY, let alone tomorrow. We need to focus on our relationship with Jesus TODAY, and not keep putting off what we need TODAY.
