I am thankful for God's promise that He will provide for all our needs according to His riches in glory. Our heavenly Father owns the cattle on a thousand
hills - it is nothing for Him to provide for us whatever we need. And the beauty of it is that sometimes He even gives us what we want! What a wonderful God we
have!

I'm thankful that I won't be getting the flu this year... I usually catch it every year, but got the shot this year.

I am thankful for the goodness of the Lord which surpasses anything I can think of. The world that He made is still full of beauty - in spite of what mankind
has done to it. God is so good to us.

I am thankful for sacrifice that Christ Jesus did for us on the cross, that provided a way for salvation and a life of hope. Thank you Jesus!

I wouldn't be so sure about that flu vaccine if I were you David. I got the flu shot the first of October, and I am out of work, sick with the flu! And it
was SUPPOSED to cover more strains of the flu than the "normal shot". Bah humbug!
Actually, what I'm thankful for is that no matter how bad I feel, God is still with me. He is my rock and salvation. He is also my healer (but I said that yesterday - it is worth repeating)! |

Today is my wife and my anniversary.
We have been married for 31 years now and for that I am thankful. Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

What? It actually gets COLD in Northern California? I know it does, but I have to tease you anyway. It is COLD here in N Texas today. It never got out of the
50's today, and we are expecting our first freeze tonight. Since the average date of a first freeze in this part of the world is November 15, I guess
we're just a little late. It is supposed to stay cold all weekend.
And congradulations on that anniversary Dave! Since my hubby and I have been together 22 1/2 years, I know what kind of accomplishment that is. May God bless you both! Today, I have been thanking God for His righteousness. No matter what I do, God is there showing His light for me to see, never wavering. He is like a lighthouse anchored on a rock, and I am very much like the tiny ship nearly battered on the waves. God's righteousness is that light that calls us home! |

50's, 50's?
You folks are spoiled. We have teens last night and high20's to low 30's today. Then again this IS Maine which I am thankful for. Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

It once (in my days living in Texas) stayed BELOW freezing for 10 days straight. EVERYTHING DIED! Oak trees, bushes, grass, everything. Our plants aren't
designed to take that kind of cold. The coldest it gets in THIS part of Texas (North Central - I live in Fort Worth) is usually in the teens, and that is
usually in late January or early February. We also get very little snow. When we have winter storms, we get ICE. I grew up in Chicago, so I do know snow, and
actually learned to drive in it. And I can still drive on snow - we had a rare snow last Valentine's day. But when we have ice storms, I just hunker down
and wait until the temp rises above freezing. Fortunately, that usually isn't more than one or two days.
Actually, I'm very thankful to live in this part of Texas, except when it is 114 in the shade! |

LOL guys... Now, I come from a trailer in Gary Indiana where it got below zero quite often. That trailer wasn't insulated very well at all, so I hope yours
is Dave. Before I came here, I made fun myself and said it didn't get cold in Cali... While it doesn't get as cold as maine, or even Indiana it's a
different kind of cold. It's like a bone chilling cold, it's horrible. How do you manage to stay warm in that trailer covered with snow? Or do you?
As for today, I'm thankful to see how much this forum has grown. I cannot even keep up with all the posts at the moment, so I'm thankful to the Lord for helping this prosper and to all of the members here for helping out. |

If you look at the dates and compare the pics you will notice that it snowed twice within three days. My trailer was made in lousiana so no it is not insulated very well.
We'll be in the single digits tonight.

I'll be funny and say Amen that YOU do not live in Maine.
Just pullin your leg. I can't resist an opening like that.
I have to say that I am extremely grateful that I no longer live in the insane asylum without a fence around it called Massachusetts. No joking there either. I am reall, really, really grateful. Dear Lord thank you for the cold, cold air and deep snow (coming to a home near me) in Maine.
