Today's devotion is about the value of life. Some believe in putting price tags on life, but to God every life is priceless and created equal. Some believe that God is punishing them or even their parents because they were born with a disability. Others believe that a child with a disability should be put to death before it is even born (To save it from pain.) Well, if you were born with any disability or have a disability (Born with it or not,) then I'm here to say that God values you just like He does anyone else. I'm also going to tell you that you are not being punished! You are here to be a testimony of God's power! You are here to make a difference in this world.
To those who would rather abort a child with a disability... When did it become your decision to decide who can and who cannot make a difference for the better in this world? I think any child deserves a shot at changing the world, and making a true difference for Jesus. There is no limit to what your "handicapped" child can do. If you think there is, then you are the one that is truly handicapped and limited. Don't put a price tag on human life. Value it, and accept the diversity of it. God didn't make us all the same: We all won't be the same color, we all won't have sight, or hearing, and we all won't be able to walk. Some of us will have disabilities, but for every disability there's a lot of ability to make up for it! Maybe one of those abilities is the ability to make a difference. Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've sinned against us. Help us to trust that you've made us the way we are for a reason. Give us faith, and show us how much you value us and help us to value ourselves as well as others. In Jesus name. A-men!
