"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." Matthew 6:34 (KJV) Here's the verse to ponder for today. For those of you who don't know, on Sundays we don't have a regular devotion... We just have the verse to ponder. First of all, this verse is not telling us that we don't have to PLAN for the future. We should definitely make plans for the future, and set goals so that
we can attain those plans. However, what this verse IS talking about the the weight and burden that living too far in the future can be. So many times, today
is so bad, so empty, so painful, that we retreat into a place inside of us where we are either living in the future or the past. The truth is that we can't
undo or change the past, and we aren't guaranteed a future. The only day we can LIVE is today. When today is done with and tomorrow becomes today, it will
have plenty of grief of it's own. We need to remember that TODAY is the only day we have to LIVE!

You're exactly right, I know for me personally I find myself worrying about something that might happen a week from now or longer. Things that I can't
control and have no guarantee of. We humans can be silly sometimes.
