... As Preachers and Teachers
Paul instructed Timothy to "preach the Word." Pastors are to be: preachers and teachers (Eph. 4:11), able to teach (1 Timothy 3:2), and consumed with the communication of doctrine and godly living (1 Timothy 4:11-16; 5:17; Tit. 1:9). Through various venues, pastors are responsible for feeding biblical truth to God's people so they have no lack of biblical knowledge (Hos. 4:6).
What can you expect as the result of praying for your pastors? You can anticipate a continually refreshed, hopeful, and invigorated pastoral staff. Your prayer ministry will come back to you like a boomerang and will create a refreshed, hopeful, and invigorated church.
FOR TODAY: Pray that your pastors will continue to teach and preach the Word.
