Showing love and compassion for your fellow human beings is the greatest way to shine a light that the world can see. People judge us by what they see... So, if you're a Christian and you never help anyone or do any good whatsoever then people will not see you as you want to be seen. Your light will not be shining in other words. Show kindness to a man on the street, give him food and clothing, etc.. And I promise you, he'll remember you for a very long time to come! He'll remember you as a kind and loving person who cared, and that's the best light you can shine for Jesus. That needy person will know that there's something different about you... But also, when you help the needy don't forget to share the gospel! That way there will be no doubts about what's different about you.
Sometimes we're so afraid to help others because we're needy ourselves. We're afraid that if we feed a homeless man we won't be able to
feed ourselves... We need to realize that when we look out for others first, God will take care of us and our needs. God isn't going to let you help
someone and then go without the things you need. Notice I said the "things you need." Sometimes you'll have to sacrifice the things you want,
the things that you don't need. But even then... Sometimes the Lord even makes sure you get the things you don't necessarily need. He grants the
desires of our heart. But we have to trust in Him, we have to do His Will and show faith in Him by helping others even when we are needy ourselves.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've sinned
against us. Help us to do your Will and to help those in need and know that you'll take care of us. In Jesus name. A-men!
