God has given us many blessings in this life, as well as the promise of life eternal. Some of the blessings given to us by God, if we accept them, are peace, joy, love, patience, hope. There are many more, but these are just a few. These qualities can be ours if we just reach out and take them.

I have recently experienced another death of someone close to me. Many of you know I lost my mother, but I have also lost a close family friend back in March, and most recently, a woman I physically cared for. All these within the last year. Grief is an emotion I am very familiar with right now. Yet, for all this, God has given me a peace even I don't understand, and this peace is guarding my heart and keeping my focus on Jesus. In dealing with these deaths, I have a hope that I will see each of these beautiful women again, because they all trusted in God, and God has promised this - that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Someday, I too will be with the Lord, and I will see them again. You have the same promises, and you can live your life on those promises.
