Today is my hubby's 50th birthday. He never posts, but he does read. So, please give a great birthday greeting to Steve! He'll be on later to read! Right now, he's getting a great day at work. They all conspired together, and they are wearing black, and they have a big casket in the middle of his desk at work. He called me to tell me that. I have to go on to physical therapy, but I have my own surprise for him later. I'm not giving him a bad time this year....I only have a parking sign for the street that says "Parking for those over 50 only!" It is HUGE! My neighbor Danny is putting it up for me right now! Steve will like it alot! He's also putting up a huge poster that I had done up at the camera store. I had Steve's baby picture blown up to cover the garage door, and the caption on it says "Can you believe HE'S 50?!?!?" Oh, by the way, in the picture, he's in the buff!!!! I promise, I'm not giving him a bad time.

In Texas, June 19th is "Juneteenth", supposedly the day that Texas received word of the "Imancipation Proclamation", and many of African-American descent have Juneteenth parties that strongly feature barbeque ribs, fried chicken, potato salad and watermelon as the foods of the day. That is what he is going to get for dinner tonight - courtesy of my in-laws. Actually, that's what he want EVERY year, except for sometimes he wants banana pudding instead. He'll get both tonight - his sister will make the banana pudding for him. But have you EVER tried to put candles into a watermelon?!?!? Normal people want birthday cake, but no one ever accused Steve of being normal!
