"Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish." Matthew 18:14 (KJV)
When some people pray for a loved one to accept Christ, they might say "...If it's your Will..." However, when you're praying for someone else to accept Christ and be saved, you're praying within God's Will. This verse says that it is NOT God's Will that any should perish. So, when praying for someone else to be saved you don't have to say "If it's your Will," because by this scripture we know it's His Will. Why is that important? It's important to be confident in your prayers, it's important to know that you're praying within God's Will because when you know that, it's easier to have faith on how things will turn out. There's power in knowing that you're praying within God's Will. I pray for my family to accept Christ and sometimes you can see God working towards it... My family hasn't come to Jesus yet, but as time goes on you start to see that the once "impossible mission," is becoming very possible.
For those who don't read the Bible, you're probably in a bit of a rut with your prayer life. I say that because if you never read the Bible, you don't know what God's Will is in a lot of areas. You can speculate, but there's always going to be a seed of doubt and there's the reality that your speculation might be wrong. Most of the time our speculation about God's Will is wrong, because God's ways are not our ways. You can't compare God to yourself. Some think that one thing is a sin, another person thinks it isn't... Someone has to be wrong! Wouldn't you like to know? Just get in God's Word and find out!
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins as we forgive all those who've sinned against us. Help us to know your Word and your Will, also help us to bring our loved ones to you and everyone else too. In Jesus name. A-men!
