"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for
you." 1 Peter 5:6-7 (KJV)

We have to lay down our pride, and stop exalting ourselves. When we exalt ourselves, then God will be forced to humble us... But if we're humble, God
Himself will exalt us. I don't like being humbled by the Lord, because sometimes it hurts. It can be more humiliating than a pie to the face or like
something...

Thanks David I really liked your message today. When I first came to the Lord I was over 18 years old and I never had read the bible before then. Our family
didn't follow any religion we only had an occasional get together with relatives with a bunch of alcohol. I remember when I first came across this
scripture: "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he
careth for you." 1 Peter 5:6-7 (KJV) I started to cry because what stuck out more than anything was that in spite of myself a sinner saved by
God's grace, that God loved me. In my younger years I had very low self-esteem so I just welcomed the love that God showed me. Before I thought of God as
this big powerful being that was watching everyone with a club in his hand just waiting for the opportunity to punish those who blew it, and I wanted nothing
to do with a God like that. This is what Satan must...

I feel this is important, and I am glad that atleast this is what we all can agree on. There are a ton of famous and powerful people in history who abide by
this code. No matter who you are, you should bow before God and his will.

something I did when I was a teenager (I was leaning in my chair while eating a bowl of cereal, and I fell over and got it all over my head.) A friend saw it,
and I didn't get to forget that for a very long time, haha. That's not the most humiliating thing that's happened to me, but it'll due. The
point is, I'd rather have the Lord exalt me (lift me up,) than humble me. The truth is the Lord will exalt me much better than I can exalt myself. And of
course, He can humble me...
