The Sabbath Day (Saturday,) is created for us to be a day of rest. A lot of us work on Saturdays, I even worked on Saturdays when I had a job... I felt
obligated to do it, but guess what? They cannot make us work on a day that goes against our "religion" legally. But we do have to request that day

I think I get what you guys are saying... So, it's just as long as we have a day of rest, not particular on which day? And I also get what you're
saying fires still need to be put out, people do need to work, etc, etc. I don't think I was taking it to that much of an extreme, at least I didn't
think so when I typed it.

I too tend to agree with Lori. That scripture in Hebrews 4: 9,10 is talking about "obedience to God" and how lack
of faith (a form of disobedience) leads one to not enter into God's rest.

Also, God said that folks were to do all their works (sins) for six days, and then on the seventh day they were to desist
from all work. Remember too, that the law was a tutor leading to Chirst. Jesus clearly showed that "good works" (not sins) can be carried out any
time and that is ok with God.

I don't agree with you on this one David. You're sounding like Messiahist and a bunch of others who seem to want to put people into the same bondage
that the Jews of Jesus' day were under, trying their best to keep the Pharisee's ideas of the Law. But Jesus' own disciples broke the Sabbath, at
least according to the Pharisees. Jesus had other ideas.

The Sabbath was to be a GIFT to man from a loving God who wanted us to take time to rest and refresh ourselves. It did become Law to the Jews, and such a law
that there have been debates up until modern times as to what constitutes WORK. In Israel about 15 years ago, many homes in Tel Aviv were damanged by fire
because people were arguing whether it constituted WORK to put out a fire on the Sabbath. They could call their rabbi on the phone, but worried that it might
be a sin to call the fire department. People lost their lives over this. Yet Jesus made it clear that it wasn't a sin to do good on the...

rest as God intended. Even worse some of us don't take any days off of work. My mother worked two jobs when I was growing up, and at one point she had 3
jobs. There were no days off for her. You feel like you have to in order to survive to be able to support your family, but what you need to do instead is just
trust God and abide by His Will. He'll take care of you.

What we have to understand is that when we're trying to...
